Parents need your advice please?

I know I have asked similar questions before as I have this idea and would really like to go through with it. But need some opinions again.

I know you probably all have seen "Birthday in a Box" or "Party Express"

I wanted to start my own business selling party packages but with more to it then the normal paper goods.

I wanted to do themes such as Fairy, Princess or Tea Party

I would include (Party for 8 would be standard with optional add on)
-Cups
-Plates
-Napkins
-Forks/Spoons
-Table Cover
-Balloons
-Streamers
-Candels
-Theme Dress up Items (Wings, Tiaras, Necklaces, Boas (Choice of a Few)
-Themed Favors
-Craft
-Game
-Also Includes a suggestion booklet

Would you use something like this? If yes why if no why? How much would you pay for something like this? How much would you pay for shipping on something like this or should I include it in the overall price? Any other suggestions?

I found something similar but didn’t include everything I would but included other items on birthday in a box and they wanted 2.99 and shipping would be about .00 for ground shipping.

I know there are some parents out there that love to shop around and pick thing out for their kids parties themselves, but I also think there are parents that want a quick easy way to have a great party without much effort but for a good price.

So please let me know what you think.
Thanks for the advice so far as for the pricing I would like to set it lower or around 0 but will need to price everything out and make a profit :)

Anyone else want to comment?

I would buy this type of product. As far as pricing – do a flat mark up, like 35-40%. That way you make money, but yet the price stays low. I never take my youngest son to Chuck E Cheese or anything like that because it is expensive. Keep that in mind. A lot of people are tight for money now, and if you can provide a means to have an inexpensive, yet memorable party, kudos to you!! Good luck!

i would definitely buy this! i think its fun and creative and easy! although you have to be competitive towards the other company to get more costumers. either having better stuff or more in the package. good luck! let me know when you open! =D

I find it easier and cheaper to go to the dollar store and pick the stuff up myself. It’s much cheaper and easier for me, then having paper plates shipped to my house.
It’s all going in the garbage anyways, and the dollar stores have a good selection of this stuff, in many themes, the kids don’t care if I spent $150 or $20 on this stuff. I couldn’t justify spending that amount of money on matching pink paper napkins.

I would buy something like this more than likely, but i’m not paying that much. Look online for different party supply stores, you could probally find what you are looking for much cheaper! I just found some on e bay that are like 15.00. You need to look around for a better price online.
