what are some good birthday party themes/ideas for teens?
i’m having a joined birthday party with 1 or 2 of my friends. our guest list consists of mostly teens- ages 12 to 14/15. i need good party themes and lots of activities to keep people occupied at all times. so far, we have a movie and waterballoon fight planned. i also need help with music/decorations. NOT too all-out and big please; this party is being planned by a 13 (and soon to be 14!) year old me and 2 other 11 year olds. nothing innaproppriate or little kid-ish please (by innaproppriate i mean spin the bottle, and by little kid-ish i mean duck duck goose. although hide and seek is always a fun "be a little kid again" game). i’d like to keep the rating at about pg to pg-13. we have a very limited and small budget, and about a week to plan/make invites. thanks for your suggestions!
oh yeah, sleepovers are an absolute NO. we aren’t allowed to have one, because of the boy/girl guest list, and because there are too many people. we have the list set and finalized also. and…a danceoff migh not work out, since the guests are a bit timid. but thank you for the suggestions!
Have a dance off. Those are always fun. You could also play german spotlight if it’s gonna be at night. You just get a oartner and a flashlight and try to tag other groups with your flashlight.
thats cool you dont need themes just a normal sleep over is cool and some rock music wouldnt keep anyone bored just play linkin park and stuff like that and rent a movie and stay active with games and stuff like that hope it go good
We did a balloon bust game. You write things like "sing like Elvis" or "crow like a rooster" or "pat your tummy and rub your head" on little slips of papers and put inside balloons and blow them up. You pass around a balloon and each person has to sit thier full weight on it for 5 seconds; if it bursts that person has to do what is written inside. It got hilarious! We had folks from 4 years to 70 playing, it was really funny by the end!

u should cause wheni was looking 4 stuff to do at my prty i found TONS of stuff
u might want to try something special to add to a sleepover
i did mini golfing and wnet to a local aquatic center
movies are great
one great game: someone is the DJ and play tunes from the radio or cd wtvr, the person who guesses the name , album, or artist gets a point…continue…person w/ most pts gets a prize.
also a riddle scavenger hunt
write clues on sticky notes that will lead to the next clue and so on until they find the prize, have this be in groups of 2 or three prize should b something like a box of (large) candy. read out the first clue to them..then release them
also classic Party games like Piggly Wiggly are great too.
dont decorate before the party. when everyone comes, then go crazy with streamers and balloons…it might seam odd but its a lot of fun
also u can buy boxes of different kinds of ice cream and large cookies
for a midnight snack have ur friends make their own icecream sandwiches.. get out peanut butter and sprinkles and chocolate and carmel it is soooo mch fun doing it
i am about ur age and this might sound silly but we all played hide and go seek and it turned out to b a blast..
if these dont help google it hehe
happy birthday and good luck planning!
p.s. go to target and have a scavenger hunt =) its soo much fun
Have a costume contest and have kids come as their favorite movie, book or tv character. Charades can be a bit of a cliche, but if you pick the right topics, this could tie in to the costume part of it. Kick-the-can is better than hide-in-seek, and a scavenger hunt is always fun.
Well me and my friends play flashlight tag it is soooooooooooo much fun! i also like the idea of having a scavenger hunt in target or walmart or cosco those would be the best! just pick out you favorite show or movie and build out games and ideas from there
