what is the future of educational boardgames as kids are more drawn to video games rather than have fun/learn?
First off let me say that I don't homeschooI. I do believe that kids retain more of what they learn when they have fun doing it. What is the best way to achieve this? I believe it is through educational boardgames. I want to know what you think. Computers can't take over everything, I hope. I go to WalMart and they still have a boardgame section, so someone is buying these products. What they have very little of is educational games, though. This is why I was thinking about starting a website geared towards nothing but educational games and learning toys. This is a business that I can be proud to own and it wouldn't embarrass my mother (she watches me). What I do not want to do is invest my start-up capital in an industry that has a scary prognosis. I believe I'd succeed, though because I love the product. This may not pay the overhead, however. Please lend me some advice. If enough people want it, I will do it. I'll have games that you can't find anywhere else and no Monopoly. Thanks
We love to play educational games for family time & for school time. I personally hate video games, computer games, and television when it's not in moderation because it doesn't create any special family memories or connect family members in any meaningful way.
We do homeschool — and I believe if you have well-done educational games that you would definitely be able to market them to homeschooling families. And as far as a scary prognosis … I believe that the homeschooling community is growing by leaps & bounds around the country & the world.
Go for it … use your creative mind & I think you'll have success.
Good luck!
am not a kid anymore I don't care
